Next week we're going to Portland to visit our dear friends, Santi and Adrian.  I am beyond excited to see them both!  It's been nearly a year since we saw them last and that is just far too long... 


During our time in Portland, we hope to see and do the following:


- Visit Powells Books (the largest bookstore west of the Mississippi)  
- Eat at Voodoo Doughnut (home of the bacon maple doughnut)
- Explore the Portland Farmers Market (a farmers market where the items being sold weren't grown in the desert!)
- Drink lots and lots of beer (portland has many a fine brewery!)
* I would also like to drink tea and have a Downton Abbey Marathon with Santi & Adrian!


Also, while we're in Oregon, we'll of course take a drive down to Corvallis to have a look at OSU and to get a feel for the town.


In other news, we found out last week that Chad was also accepted to Washington State University!  To say that I feel proud of him is an understatement.  


There are still a couple of schools that haven't responded yet, but to tell you the truth, our minds are pretty much made up already.  


The Pacific Northwest is calling our names...

OSU.  Who wouldn't want to live there?
